Crossinology Brain Integration Technique, BIT, is a non-invasive therapeutic treatment focused on eradicating learning difficulties through opening brain pathways. It is a hands on technique that increases blood flow to the brain.
In order for us to be able to learn easily, comprehend, focus, concentrate, organize and speak clearly and easily the many activities in our brain need to be coordinated and synchronized. Emotional stress early in our lives can cause a disruption in this finely tuned coordination and synchronization in the brain and thereby compromise the normal learning process.
According to the BIT model, learning difficulties can result from the inability to access specific brain functions and how well these functions can be integrated. BIT reestablishes connections and restores access to appropriate learning centers of the brain.
BIT has been especially effective in the treatment of learning difficulties associated with: Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory integration, dyslexia, closed head traumas, brain injuries, and autism. The treatment has been shown to improve attention, focus, concentration, memory, comprehension, reading, spelling, mathematics, sense of time, rhythm, coordination, multitasking, and more. An initial half hour brain function assessment is performed. This assessment reveals the specific brain areas that need the most attention. At the end of the assessment the client will be informed as to the probable length of treatment required. The length of each person’s program varies based on individual needs.
Some people notice differences after individual sessions while others do not notice any change until after the integration is entirely complete.
During the assessment time Dr. Permutt may recognize a person’s need for dietary/nutritional support. She then recommends various life-style changes. This process can be done during the BIT protocol or can be scheduled as a separate consultation. Back to top
